In the morning of October 1, the 40 Host Desecration videos posted on YouTube by user fsmdude were pulled. Notices such as “removed due to content violation,” and “user suspended” appeared to people who clicked on the video image and the user’s name.

As a result, the Catholic group America Needs Fatima suspended its anti-desecration video protest to YouTube that had already gathered 18,201 people in 7 days.

However, early yesterday afternoon, the 40 desecration videos were reposted. No explanation was given by YouTube. This caused deep pain among Catholics and caused many to decide to expand the anti-desecration video protest with redoubled vigor.

YouTube’s refusal to pull the host desecration videos is puzzling, for they seem to have removed several videos with content offensive to Jews and Muslims.

For example, a video showing a teenager urinating on a Holocaust memorial was pulled. So was the trailer to a Dutch documentary that claims that Islam inspires intolerance, murder and terror.

But YouTube won’t pull videos showing the Holy Eucharist being desecrated.
