Saint Panteleon’s blood has returned to a liquefied state

Last week, we mentioned how the blood of Saint Pantaleon becomes liquid each year, during the 24 hour period before his feast day on July 27.

Why is this important?

Only twice in history has his blood NOT become liquid:

Right before World War I, and right before the Spanish Civil War in 1936.

So, people evidently worry when the Saint’s blood fails to liquefy.

But this year, did his blood turn to liquid?

Yes, it did, according to several news reports that I have read.

I’ll try to find out and let you know.  Why is this important?

Some 5,000 people gather to see this miraculous phenomena every year, so this is a public event that is easy to verify.

  1. SO? This doesn't mean anything at all that we might not have a war. What about WWII? And the last war to combat the bombing of the tower?
Why would anyone try to make something out of this? Search for another significant happening -perhaps something changing in the church.
